Walsh and May-Treanor Strong in Olympic Prelims
US Beach Volleyball team, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, easily defeated Japan in their first Olympic preliminary match. May-Treanor and Walsh have been playing together as a team for 8 years and were the Olympic champions in 2004. Walsh is 6′ 2″ tall and May-Treanor is 5′ 9″.
Watching May-Treanor and Walsh during the preliminary match, I couldn’t help but wonder what the black tape on Walsh’s shoulder was. It is kinesiology tape which is used to provide support and pain relief to her shoulder which underwent surgery earlier this year.
These two looked so strong – I predict they will easily win Olympic gold again!
