Nastia Liukin Samantha Shapiro 2008 Pacific Rim Gymnastics I just love this picture of 2008 Pacific Rim Senior Champion, Nastia Liukin, giving a big sisterly hug to Junior Silver Medalist, Samantha Shapiro. Nastia and teammates Jana Bieger (2nd place, senior), Darlene Hill, Rebecca Bross (1st place, junior), Samantha Shapiro (2nd place, junior) and Rebecca Clark captured first place as a team ahead of Canada and then China.

Complete results can be found at USA Gymnastics. Additional media:

  • Some early videos (obviously taken from the stands so the quality is not perfect) can already be found on YouTube.
  • USA Gymnastics has a photo gallery from the meet.
  • There are also some great moments captured on film at Getty Images.
