2007 FINA WorldsNatalie Coughlin and her fellow US swimmers are having a great competition in Melbourne, Australia at the 2007 FINA World Championships. Natalie broke her own World Record in the 100m backstroke with a time of 59.44 – just a hair faster than her five-year-old world record of 59.58 that she set in 2002.

Two additional records were broken by Michael Phelps and Aaron Peirsol as the US claimed 5 gold medals.

Way to go Team USA!

Golf for kids

While looking for some statistics on nutrition, I stumbled across a really comprehensive site on golf for kids. With the warmer weather coming, golf is activity that the whole family can enjoy.

Junior Golf Guide includes tips for parents, nutrition, lessons, equipment, terms and more. If you have a child who is interested in trying golf or just want more info on the sport, you should check it out.

USA Diving

Diving is a great sport, especially for athletes with some acrobatic or gymnastics training. USA Diving has released a video called Diving From The Athlete’s Viewpoint. Very cool!
