My. heart. breaks. One of my favorite gymnasts for the past 4 years, Shayla Worley, was so close to fulfilling her Olympic dream. So close.

Unfortunately, she suffered a broken fibula in warm ups on beam at the Olympic Selection Camp at the Karolyi Ranch which serves as the National Team Training Center. With the Olympics only a few weeks away, there is no way Shayla will be able to recover.

We watched Shayla compete at the US Classic a few years ago and were totally mesmerized by her flexibility, gorgeous dance, and stunning lines. I would love to see Shayla recover and possibly go on to compete at the college level where she would totally shine. Our thoughts are with you Shayla - speedy recovery!!

Soccer player, Abby Wambach, also had her Olympic dream crushed this week when she broke her left leg during a game against Brazil. Heartbreaking.
