Say Thanks to a Coach Today
Today is the National Education Association (NEA) National Teacher Day. Schools around the country will be recognizing their teachers in a variety of ways this week.
Your child’s coaches are teachers too. Not only do they teach your child the ins and outs of their game, but they also teach your child life skills. Here are just a few things a good coach will teach your child:
- Winning isn’t everything, but putting forth effort to win is.
- Every mistake is an opportunity to learn. Go big!
- Your coach/teacher can give you the tools for success, but ultimately you are responsible for acting on them.
- Everyone has something to contribute to the team – everyone!
What are some of the reasons you like your child’s coach(es)? I know there are more life lessons you learn from sports, what are some of your favorite?

Say Thanks to a Coach Today…
Your child’s sports coach teaches them more than just how to run, jump, or go faster. Coaches teach valuable life lessons and skills too. Since today is National Teacher Day, don’t forget to thank the coaches too….
