Nastia Liukin Named FIG Athlete Representative

Olympic All Around Champion, Nastia Liukin, has become quite a leader in USA gymnastics and now she will have an even greater role in the future of the sport. She was elected to the International Gymnastics Federation’s Athletes Commission – a position she will hold through 2012.

The election took place at London’s O2 arena – the venue for the 2009 World Championships which takes place this week (October 13-18, 2009).
